My friend Pastor John White suggested that I read this book. It is a very insightful look at what scholars call the "silent years” of Jesus. Jesus appears in the gospel at 12 debating with the teachers in the temple at Jerusalem. But we don’t read about anything else that happened in his life until he emerges at age 30 at the Jordan River, being baptized by John. What was he doing?

The author helps us understand how our hidden years are an essential component of our development.
